Naushabah Khan

Naushabah is the Member of Parliament for Gillingham and Rainham, elected to this position on 4 July 2024 at the most recent UK General Election. In October 2024, she was appointed as a Member of the Housing, Communities and Local Government Select Committee. In September 2025, she was appointed as a Parliamentary Private Secretary in the Cabinet Office.

Before becoming an MP, Naushabah was the Medway Councillor for Gillingham South for nearly 10 years. From May 2023 – September 2024, she was the Cabinet Member for Housing and Property. 

With a background in housing policy and tackling homelessness, she is deeply passionate about ensuring that everyone has access to a good quality, affordable home. 

Born and raised in the area, her priorities are rooted in developing our high streets, pushing for local investment, and restoring pride back into our communities.
